Q. Does the profile selected matter depending on the pitch of the roof?

A. Each profile has a different shape that will affect the water carrying capacity. If you select a home with a very flat roof or a steep pitched roof you have a choice of a number of profiles. PROJECT ONE CONTRACTING will check the minimum pitch detail for each profile to find the most appropriate profile.

Q. What is concealed fixed roofing?

A. Concealed fixed roofing is where a profile uses a clip system attachment under the roof rather than piercing the fastener through the roof. This is ideal where a smooth finish is required, or there is very little pitch on the roof. PROJECT ONE CONTRACTING will recommend the correct profile for your roof.

Q. The house will be built near the sea, will that affect my roof?

A. There are different grades of steel available to suit different environments. If the house is to be built near a marine or environment affected by industrial areas you may need to consider using a steel product that provides a greater protection. Q. This house will be built in a cyclonic area can I still use steel?

A. When building in a cyclonic there needs to be careful consideration regarding design and selection of materials, fasteners and supports. Q. The design has a curved roof, what profile can I use?

A. One of the great benefits of steel is its ability to be used in a wide array of designs, including curves. Profiles like Custom Orb and Spandek can be sprung curved, and for a traditional bullnose design or dramatic barrel curve Custom Blue Orb can be pre-curved to achieve impressive results.
